​Responsible for all financial, marketing, and administrative operations for the Center For Precision Diagnostics, the objective of which is to transform cutting-edge technologies into clinical applications.  The Center offers CLIA / CAP certified molecular diagnostic and research services to the academic and industry communities while concurrently working to integrate this level of diagnostics into the standard of care for individuals with a wide range of disorders.

Held executive level responsibility for a wide range of the Center's operations, including:
— Developed and managed long, mid and short range financial plans and budgets (FY18, $6 million)
— Developed and managed marketing programs for Center offerings and capabilities
— Worked with School Of Medicine Compliance on a variety of issues and concerns
— Managed Center licensure, certification, and regulatory relationships
— Guided the development of UW rates to align with newly-developed Center tests, panels, and other offerings
— Coordinated with UW Medicine and School of Medicine entities on strategic initiatives
— Identified and guided internal and external opportunities for strategic collaboration
— Identified new funding streams for Center operations
— Ensured alignment and balance of research and clinical operations throughout the Center

Joined the Departmental Business Planning team to become a flexible resource supporting clinical departments and the Dean's Office with special projects, internal consulting and operational troubleshooting.


Also tasked with faculty funds flow responsibilities.

-- Annual School of Medicine risk management analysis.
-- Worked with all UW School of Medicine departments to conduct mid-year and end-year financial true-up analyses.
-- Worked with clinical departments, including Anesthesiology, Medicine, Radiation Oncology and others to resolve and improve financial and operational issues.
-- Conducted analysis of Department of Psychiatry Post-Award data tracking methodologies and systems.
— Responsible for continued day-to-day operations of the Neuro-Oncology clinical trials programs during a period of unforeseen transition.
— Brought on board staff borrowed from other departments to ensure continuity of coverage on complex existing trials.
— Recruited and hired for a team of four research staff in a very competitive environment.
— Coordinated new guidelines for budgeting and financial controls of new clinical trials.

Temporary deployment to the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine to step in as its finance manager in a temporary capacity upon the sudden departure of the former manager.  Roles include management of the department's ongoing finances and design of new processes to modernize the methods by which the department tracks financial data.

Temporary deployment to the Department of Neurology to provide high-level financial and operational services in a temporary capacity.  Roles include development of new faculty funding proposals, a full review of all faculty effort throughout the department and analysis of existing department relationships with UW Medicine entities.

An independently owned financial and strategy consulting agency serving clients across sectors, helping them overcome organizational and operational challenges.

Drove the transition to more streamlined and efficient financial and operational systems / processes for organizations including Harvard University, MIT, Boston Children’s Hospital, Microsoft, Liberty Mutual, Bank of America, The International Monetary Fund, and more. Identified opportunities, offered strategic financial and real-world solutions, and led system / CPI implementation.
-- Built the financial and data management system, tools, and reporting methods for the acquisition of 106 new Liberty Mutual offices nationwide.  
-- Developed new strategic data collection and management tools and implementation strategies for Boeing in support of its contract with a large US Government agency.
-- Created program to manage the internal messaging for the relocation of the International Monetary Fund.
-- Led a team of 10 consultants on-site at Microsoft, delivering planning services for the corporate real estate division.

Recruited to assemble and co-manage new program consulting practice area with internal and external teams of up to 40.  Provided change management and design-based program direction for clients and managed budgets from $500K-$63M.  


-- Exceeded financial projections for Program Services division, delivering 270% year-over-year sales (2008).  

-- Led global marketing & rebranding program for Equinix, one of the world’s largest data center providers.  Managed team in development of new logo and coordination of unveiling the new brand concurrently at locations worldwide.

-- Hand-selected a 25 member team to complete rebranding program / signage conversion at 1,100+ sites for a corporate client in a six-state area. Successfully ed all aspects of the multi-million dollar project.

-- Directed program financials and marketing, as well as coding and development teams building SaaS solutions.
